Manga's Nineteenth-Century Titles

One of the most amusing aspects of manga are the long, nineteenth-century-type titles:

A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation

Lies are a Gentleman's Manners

I greatly prefer these to ones that come across as sentimental or artistic, such as For You in Full Blossom (though I love the series). Likewise, The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese is clever but rather reminds me of a Salvador Dali painting. Surreal.

There is something so entirely attractive and blunt about:

My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's

The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter

The Most Notorious Talker Runs the World's Greatest Clan

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! (with the exclamation mark)

My current favorite:

Ascendance of a Bookworm: I'll Do Anything to Become a Librarian, Part I: If There Aren't Any Books, I'll Just Have to Make Some! (also with the exclamation mark!)

And the winner for blunt and erotic:

Our Torsos Align: Human X Monster

Of course, even the above titles have a cadence to them. Or fit right on the page.
