Bromance Sister Style: Sister Boniface and Sam

There isn't as pithy a word as "bromance" for the friendship between a man and woman. Friendship! But the implication with male-female friendship is often that it will change into something else OR has firmly been regulated to a specific degree of intimacy. 

So here are bromances, sister style.

The term is appropriate because the first sister style bromance is Sister Boniface & Sam. They make a delightful police officer & detective pair. Sam is more than accepting of Sister Bonifance in his police band of helpers. He addresses one of his first questions of the series to her. She is entirely supportive of Sam's off-again, on-again romance with Ruth, whatever his decision. And they share a delightful penchant for puns, even during an investigation.
